Sources & interpretation
Records retain source-specific units, release clocks and revision information where available. Different vintages, forecasts and observations should not be treated as a continuous comparable series.
- 280 main Copom meetings run from 26 June 1996 through 5 August 2026. The first 32 belong to the legacy monthly operating-rate regime and remain in percent_per_month; they are never compared numerically with the annual Selic target regime. - The annual Selic-target regime starts with the target effective 5 March 1999. Its 248 meeting decisions comprise 86 cuts, 95 holds, 66 hikes, and one explicit regime transition. - 234 meeting outcomes from meeting 46 onward reconcile the target against a release-specific official communiqué body. Each uses a conservative Sao Paulo end-of-day availability clock because the API supplies a date, not an exact timestamp. Meeting 51 says sem declaração and is retrieval-gated. - Eight president-authorized bias follow-on actions are retained separately and excluded from the meeting-decision denominator. Three extraordinary meetings are explicitly flagged.
- The official 2026 and 2027 notices add 16 scheduled second-session decision days. Their source-provided publication timestamps are retained exactly. Calendar events are not decision outcomes. - The compact predictive Focus panel has 14,675 Friday-reference weekly medians: current/next-year IPCA, GDP, Selic, BRL/USD and unemployment; next-month IPCA and BRL/USD; and the nearest future meeting-specific Selic median. - The panel includes 504 unemployment expectations from September 2021 through September 2026. The full hash-pinned Focus dependency contains 424,485 records; only the bounded model-facing medians are copied into this PIT candidate. - Focus historical API files are mutable current-history snapshots. Every historical median is gated to its actual response retrieval clock. The official Monday 08:25-08:30 rule is recorded as nominal metadata only because release-specific bytes and holiday adjustments are not proven.
