Cbi Iceland Expectations

This isolated package materializes 562 point-in-time records. The official tagged MPC archive contributes 105 unique rate decisions from 2011-02-02 through 2026-08-19: 56 holds, 26 hikes, and 23 cuts. Explicit decision sizes range from a 75 bp cut to a 125 bp hike. Four tagged pages are retained as excluded evidence: a duplicated May 2024 statement path, two webcast notices, and a March 2020 asset-purchase decision without a rate action.

Sources & interpretation

Records retain source-specific units, release clocks and revision information where available. Different vintages, forecasts and observations should not be treated as a continuous comparable series.

The decision ledger preserves the Bank's instrument regimes. From 30 September 2009 through 20 May 2014, the official key rate was the simple average of the current-account rate and maximum 28-day certificate-of-deposit rate; component rates are stored only when the statement states them. Since 21 May 2014, the seven-day term-deposit rate is the key rate. No missing rate level is derived. The Bank warns that pre-2020 news articles do not all carry tags, so the 105-row tagged ledger is not described as a complete pre-2020 meeting calendar and missing holds are not invented.

Monetary Bulletin 2026/1 and 2026/2 add 68 staff-forecast records for GDP growth, CPI, unemployment, unit labour costs, the trade-weighted exchange rate, trading-partner inflation and growth, plus quarterly CPI paths. The captured forecast tables publish no staff policy-rate path or conditioning rate, and none is inferred.
