Sources & interpretation

Records retain source-specific units, release clocks and revision information where available. Different vintages, forecasts and observations should not be treated as a continuous comparable series.

Each release page explicitly states a 2:00 p.m. release time. Two December pages label that time EDT even though New York observes standard time, so the parser retains the source text but uses conservative New York end-of-day as available_at for every release. All 22 before-versus-at-release no-future proofs pass.

The federal-funds dots measure the distribution of FOMC participants' appropriate-policy assessments. They are not market probabilities or meeting-specific probabilities. The official pages were captured retrospectively in September 2026, so their exact hashes do not prove that the pages were byte-identical on release day; the release-specific content and clocks support historical use with that limitation recorded.
