Rba Smp Forecasts
This isolated candidate retains 32 official forecast vintages from November 2018 through August 2026 and normalizes 1,125 forward observations from the RBA's consolidated Statement on Monetary Policy forecast archive. It contains GDP growth, unemployment, Wage Price Index, nominal average earnings, CPI, trimmed-mean inflation, cash-rate assumptions, trade-weighted exchange-rate assumptions and Brent crude assumptions. Sources & interpretation
Records retain source-specific units, release clocks and revision information where available. Different vintages, forecasts and observations should not be treated as a continuous comparable series.
The 55 cash-rate observations are technical assumptions used in the staff forecasts. They are not RBA policy-rate forecasts. From May 2024 the RBA describes the assumption as moving broadly with expectations derived from financial-market pricing; the February 2024 method belongs to the earlier, varying assumption regime.
For the eleven February 2024–August 2026 releases, official annual Board-schedule notices establish that the SMP was released with the policy decision at 2:30 p.m. Sydney time. The earlier 21 release-specific pages do not retain a verified exact time, so published_at is null and availability is conservatively gated at the end of the official issue-page dc.date in Australia/Sydney. Two 2020 pages carry official update dates several days after the original issues; retaining those later dates is conservative.
