Sources & interpretation
Records retain source-specific units, release clocks and revision information where available. Different vintages, forecasts and observations should not be treated as a continuous comparable series.
Seventeen exact official release PDFs from May 2022 through August 2026 are retained with their HTTP headers, extracted text, URLs, byte counts, SHA-256 hashes, official publication dates, field dates, and response counts. A September 2022 release-PDF URL was not found; the official 20 September 2022 statistics alert is used only as a conservative latest-proven clock. These 18 quarters account for 252 release-backed observations. The remaining 1,102 observations use the 10 September 2026 workbook retrieval timestamp and cannot enter historical backtests before that instant.
RBNZ says the survey is quarterly, covers OCR/interest rates, CPI, GDP, hourly earnings and unemployment, and is not ordinarily revised. The current workbook is nevertheless a retrospective vintage; the 2021 house-price correction documented by RBNZ is outside this package's 14 priority series.
